The process is a bit different for this new database, as it involves email authentication rather than proxy access. So this is how it goes once you click the link on an O'Reilly book (the new home for our former "Safari Books Online" books):
-Users will first have to click “Select Your Institution” and choose “Not listed.”
-They will then have to enter a UVa email address to access content.
-They will then receive an email to confirm and complete their new Safari account creation.
And if needed, here is a direct link to the O'Reilly database: https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/temporary-access/
There is an option to remember your email address for future logins- this is under “Settings- Authentication.” If you have any technical issues not easily solved by following these directions or doing simple fixes like trying a new browser or clearing browser cache/cookies/history, please contact email@example.com
