Personal Laptops

Students, faculty, staff and users from outside the University can use their own laptops at UVa Library locations.

Connecting to the Wireless Network

For information about and instructions for accessing the UVa wireless network see ITS's Wireless home page at: https://in.virginia.edu/wifi

Connecting to the Wired Network

Users can also connect personal laptops to the University's wired network with an Ethernet card. Users will need to register their cards: https://virginia.service-now.com/its/?id=itsweb_kb_article&sys_id=c6314c53db7ac744f032f1f51d96192a

Printing from Personal Laptops

Once UVa affiliated patrons have connected to the UVa wireless or wired network they can use PrintMe to print. Instructions available here: https://uvaprint.virginia.edu/self-serve-printercopiers

Printing Problems

If print jobs cannot be sent to PrintMe report the problem to Printing and Copying Services (PCS)using the help ticket system: http://www.virginia.edu/uvaprint/pcshelp/
