Q. Can I get Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) software for my computer?

UVa ITS and the Library have a site license for Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS. It is available by download from the Software Gateway. Installation instructions are available here. You must be connected to the UVa License Manager to check out a 180 day license. If you are Off-Grounds you must first run the VPN Client to connect to the Server. 

ArcGIS only runs on Windows OS.
