Yes, you’ll need to send the item in the mail.  You can send your item to:

USPS's Media Mail rate is the most cost-effective way to return books through the mail and usually takes 2 to 8 days.  UPS and FedEx do not deliver to PO boxes. 

If the item is in Charlottesville – but you are not – you'll need to find someone who can get the book for you and return it to any Library location.
