Q. Do you offer anything that can help me learn a foreign language for fun?

The library recommends a few language learning sites: 
 

Duolingo offers 13 languages for English speakers for free.  There are also programs for English language learners in many different languages.  

If you are a Charlottesville resident, or resident of the surrounding counties, (this includes UVA students!) you can use Transparent Language Online through the Jefferson Madison Regional Library.  You will need to have a JMRL library card in order to use this site.  
 

Residents of Staunton and surrounding areas can use the Staunton Library-provided Transparent Language Online.
