Q. What are the Ivy Stacks and how do I use them?

Ivy Stacks is an offsite shelving facility for a few million of the library's books.  You cannot visit this site. However, if you find a specific book in Ivy Stacks using Virgo, you will see the option to "Request Item from Ivy."  It usually takes a business day or two for the item to arrive at the library for you.

The Library Status Dashboard has information about access to materials and spaces for UVA patrons, and will identify whether library services are operating or open to non-UVA patrons. Service to current UVA patrons should be normal unless listed otherwise on the Status Dashboard.
