Q. How long can I renew books, etc. for?

How long can I renew books, etc. for?    

The Library allows unlimited renewals of most materials. 

To renew:

• Login to VIRGO and renew online, or

• Call any of our libraries to renew over the phone, or

• Email lib-circ@virginia.edu, or

• Request at any Library service desk. 

Materials that may not be renewed: 

• Items that have been recalled from you (i.e. requested by someone else) 

• Reserves 

• Equipment - from library service and information desks or from the Robertson Media Center 

Some but not all Interlibrary Loan materials may be renewed: you can do this through your account in Virgo or by phone, (434) 924-3875.
