Q. How do I obtain borrowing privileges?

Current UVA staff, faculty, and students automatically have accounts created for them. If you aren't currently affiliated with UVA you will need to present current photo ID at any Library service and information desk to obtain borrowing privileges. Valid forms of identification include:

• driver's license or ID card
• passport
• ID card from a Virginia higher education institution

Library borrowers must be 16 years of age or older. Please refer to the Library Circulation Policies.
