Where can I donate my rare books or archival material?
If you are interested in donating materials to UVA's Special Collections, please email the curatorial team at small-curatorial@virginia.edu. This would include rare books, historic letters, diaries, or other materials, artists books, and other non-mass-produced works. Please note we aren't accepting material donations during the Main Library renovation.
Other Virginia institutions to contact are listed below. If you don't live in Virgina, you should contact institutions that are close to you or that are topically related to your materials. I.e., if you have a diary written by an ancestor who lived in New Hampshire, you should contact archives and historical societies in New Hampshire or New England generally.
